About

I am a research fellow (2009-2013) in the Department of Art and Media Studies at the University of Science and technology in Trondheim (NTNU). The working title for my project is "The Aesthetics of New Media in Contemporary Theatre and Performance: Multimedia Theatre, Telematic Performance and Pervasive Theatre". It investigates how and to what ends technological artifacts and applications have reconfigured contemporary theatre and performance, and the ways by which they create and communicate meaning.

In 2009 I spent a year in the department of Theatre, Dance and performance Studies at UC Berkeley as a visiting scholar, where I collaborated with the Tele-Immersion Department doing experiments with tele-immersive dance with Lisa Wymore. I collaborated as video artist with grad student Scott Wallis in the staging of What Happened? by Gertrude Stein.I also collaborated with other graduate students in the creation of hybrid form of pervasive game and interactive theatre called Chain Reaction,  which was publicly orchestrated in October 2009 in the city of Berkeley.

In 2010 became the assistant for the new interdisciplinary research area "Performativity; Art, Communication and Knowledge Formation",  and have organized a reading group revolving around the discipline of Performance Studies , Performance Studies Working Group (PSWG). I have also co-created a group that focuses on methodology in the arts, called PerFormativity Methodology Laboratory, MetLab, which meets once a month, discusses articles and practical project.

Please, check the "International PerFormativity Seminar" that we are organizing 12-14 April 2011 here: http://www.ntnu.edu/performativity/international-performativity-seminar

This Spring 2011 I am teaching a master class on Game Design, where we will be developing games with an agenda -social, political, aesthetic-  that use the city as theme or inspiration.

On May 27-28 I have two performances coming up the the local experimental theater of the city, Theatre Avant garden.http://www.avantgarden.no/index.php?groupid=439&kalenderid=263
