About
I am an archaeologist specializing in the European Bronze Age and Early Iron Age. I finished my dissertation, Bronze Age Identity: Costume, Conflict and Contact in Northern Europe 1600-1300 BC, in June 2007. I am currently engaged in two new research projects, one an investigation into early linen production in Scandinavia and the other looking at the practice of depositing dead bodies in wetlands during the Bronze Age. I have a special interest in gender studies, textile production, mortuary archaeology and mid range exchange/trade.
